Note Taking and Note Making for Productive Brain Learning

By Sam Roxas

Frequently folk would ask, why do I have to take notes? The key reason why we are doing the note taking is we needed to write down and remember the key and critical points.

Many experts believe that effective note taking is one of the most important skills anyone ever learns. When we're doing note taking it actually augments our recall talent. Like myself, I can recollect a large amount of things when I am writing down major points. Note taking is basically more organized instead of just making an attempt to recall what we just listened to.

There are different methods to do note taking. The conventional way is mostly tough to follow. Now, there is basically a brand-new way of note taking that is mostly known as the mind mapping.

Our brain is actually working when we are listening. Our brain is at the same time sorting, choosing, formulating and so on with the mix of words and at the same time interwoven with pictures and images. And when we're doing note taking we are really maximizing our brain and we're able to learn plenty of things.

The next step is note making. If we wrote down our reactions and judgments to what we just learned we are essentially helping ourselves in learning the subject or the topic discussed. Writing down your thoughts helps you focus your concentration and bring your attention back to the speaker or your teacher. When we're doing this we have a tendency to recall things simply.

Note taking and note making won't be effective when you're not listening actively and observing actively. You won't be well placed to learn when you're not taking part. That Is the reason scholars or learners are asked to take part in class. Also, if we don't accept the idea of note taking and note making we'll never get to learn efficiently. You might be able to remember some info straight away but when you want to recall information after 5 years or more, most likely, you'll have a tough time to remember.

An alternate way to make brain learning fun is making words into photos and pictures. When we are doing that we are actually letting our subconscious work and it enables us to focus. We tend to be drawing our attention to the subject. When we do that we're able to learn. It is a small thing that is usually neglected. We thought, it's just for today it will not that be vital in the future. That's actually setting your mind frame into negativism and it will have an effect on how you view yourself.

If you want to grasp the results of this technique, give it a chance. Apply it to yourself and you'll see how.
